What we collect
Your name, address, phone number and email address
Details about your property and the clean you need
Access information, such as key-holding arrangements, door or alarm codes, and parking details
Payment and invoice records
Photos of a property before and after a clean, where agreed (for example, end-of-tenancy cleans)
For business clients: the name, job title and work contact details of our contact
Why we use it
To give you a quote, arrange and carry out your cleans (to perform our contract with you)
To invoice you and keep financial records (legal obligation)
To contact you about your bookings (contract)
To tell businesses about our services, with an easy way to opt out (legitimate interests)
To deal with any complaints, insurance claims or disputes (legitimate interests)
Keeping your home secure
Keys, codes and access details are only shared with the cleaner assigned to your property. Keys are labelled with a code, never your address, and stored securely. Access details are deleted and keys returned when our service ends.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We only share it with:
Our cleaning staff, only what they need to do your clean
Trusted service providers who help us run the business, including Xero (accounting), Monzo (banking), Stripe (card payments) and Google (email and storage)
Our insurers, accountant or legal advisers, where needed
Authorities, where the law requires it
Some providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.
How long we keep it
Financial and invoice records: 6 years, as required by law
Customer and booking details: up to 2 years after our last clean for you
Before-and-after photos: up to 12 months, unless needed for a dispute
Marketing contacts: until you ask us to stop
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy to take elsewhere. You can opt out of marketing at any time. To make a request, email gooseacleaning@gmail.com. We'll respond within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
